Micro Ranger – BVLOS Power in the Micro Class (<2 kg)
Micro Ranger is DroneVation’s ultra-light, long-range UAV engineered for BVLOS patrol, pipeline and corridor oversight, confined-space inspection, urban security sweeps, traffic observation, and rapid response—all while staying firmly within the Micro category (< 2 kg MTOW). Built end-to-end inside the AKSI ecosystem, it blends compact design with intelligent autonomy so teams can operate confidently with or without GNSS.
Unlike mapping platforms, Micro Ranger is optimized for mission continuity and situational awareness, not survey-grade georeferencing. Its KKA Autopilot supports fully autonomous routes, dynamic re-tasking, and instructor override, while a GNSS-agnostic navigation stack keeps you flying when satellites don’t: Visual-Inertial Odometry (VIO) and optical-flow stabilize position; downward ToF/LiDAR manages precise height keeping; optional front-arc ToF/LiDAR or stereo vision adds obstacle awareness for tight spaces. This means stable, repeatable flight under bridges, inside buildings, along tunnels, and beneath dense canopies—where conventional GPS-only drones drift or fail.

The RoboClave Composites airframe uses aerospace-grade carbon blends to achieve a high stiffness-to-weight ratio with low vibration—critical for clear video feeds in dynamic environments. AKSI Propulsion power-trains deliver quiet thrust and energy efficiency; LiHi Energy smart Li-ion packs provide up to 70 minutes of endurance (no payload) and safe, telemetry-rich power management. Dual-link encrypted comms (900 MHz + 2.4 GHz) ensure robust control and data backhaul for BVLOS corridors; a relay node can extend coverage when terrain or structures block line-of-sight.
Payloads are tuned for awareness and inspection: stabilized EO (RGB) video for day ops, micro-thermal for low-light and heat-anomaly detection. To preserve endurance in the Micro class, Micro Ranger avoids heavy, multi-band survey sensors. If multispectral is a must for your workflow, we recommend stepping up to a Small-category airframe.
