Cargo Blimp
Atlas is Slatup Cargo’s next-generation cargo blimp—designed to combine heavy-lift capability with long-endurance flight for versatile logistics missions. Engineered entirely within the Slatup Cargo ecosystem, Atlas provides a professional-grade platform for delivery, industrial supply, offshore logistics, and humanitarian operations where payload flexibility, endurance, and reliability are critical.
Unlike conventional drones that struggle with heavy payloads or long flight times, Atlas leverages its buoyant envelope to carry 0.5 to 10 kg of cargo efficiently, with flight endurance ranging from 1 to 3 hours depending on payload. Its aerodynamically optimized blimp envelope reduces drag and ensures smooth, stable flight even under variable wind conditions, while vertical lift and slow cruising capabilities enable operations in constrained areas without requiring runways or large take-off zones.
Key Highlights
Description
At the core, Atlas is equipped with advanced flight control systems that manage hybrid buoyant and propulsive dynamics. Intelligent flight algorithms optimize thrust, altitude, and attitude to maintain stability across both hover and forward cruise. Multiple flight modes—Hover, Cruise, Auto, Loiter, and Return-to-Base (RTB)—allow fully autonomous or manual missions through the ground-control interface. Redundant power and communication systems ensure fail-safe operations in critical logistics scenarios.
The Nylon Composite envelope provides a lightweight yet robust structure, while internal support frames ensure shape integrity under varying payloads. Modular gondola and payload bays allow quick swaps between mission kits, accommodating delicate packages or tactical cargo with vibration-isolated mounts to protect sensitive goods. The LiHi Energy smart battery pack, along with a secondary safety pack, provides real-time monitoring and extended operational life.
Atlas is fully programmable for autonomous hover → cruise → hover delivery cycles. Adaptive flight profiles support variable payload weights and environmental conditions, while dual-band encrypted telemetry enables control and live data streaming up to 20 km line-of-sight, with optional relay nodes for beyond-range operations.
With a combination of payload versatility, endurance, and stability, Atlas transforms aerial logistics. Whether delivering industrial supplies, medical packages, or critical spare parts, it offers reliable, energy-efficient, and safe cargo transport—a true workhorse of the skies.
